Working offline

How it works

Every change you make — adding a play, a player, a game — is saved to your device immediately, whether or not you’re connected. When a connection is available, those changes sync to the server automatically in the background.

The status bar

A bar at the top of the app shows your connection state and how many changes are waiting to sync:

• Offline — you can keep entering plays; nothing is lost.
• N queued — changes waiting for a connection to sync. Tap Sync now once you’re back online, or just wait — it syncs on its own.
• N failed — a change couldn’t be saved (for example, it conflicted with something else). Tap Retry to try again, or Clear to discard it.

Best practice on gameday

Install the app before the season starts (see Installing the app) so it’s ready to go on the sideline even with no signal at the field.
